Christine Lee, Solicitor

As the Head of Christine Lee & Co, Christine acts as the Chief Legal Advisor to the Chinese Embassy to the United Kingdom and also the Legal Advisor to the All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, an official Governmental Body in the People's Republic of China. She is also a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Chinese in Britain which complements her commitment and passion for the promotion of British Chinese rights and political representation in the UK. Christine is a specialist in Commercial Law, Public Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Family Law.

As a qualified solicitor and a member of ILPA (Immigration Law Practitioners Association), Christine is able to advise on the Law of England and Wales. With over two decades of experience, Christine is one of the most experienced and leading Chinese lawyers practising in the United Kingdom today. She has worked on some of the leading cases in the field of Immigration and Human Rights and is highly regarded as a result by her peers and the British Chinese Community.

Christine is a keen lobbyist and actively lobbies Government in issues that concern the British Chinese.

Martin Wilkes, Solicitor

Working from the Birmingham offices, Martin is responsible for the firm’s business and residential property divisions and is also the Training Principal for Christine Lee & Co.
Prior to joining Christine Lee & Co, Martin was a partner at one of the longest established law firms in the West Midlands before setting up his own practice which later merged with Christine Lee & Co.

Over the past three decades, Martin has accumulated extensive experience in the areas of Property and Commercial Law affording him a well-regarded reputation amongst his peers and colleagues alike. His extensive experience has benefited the firm immensely and clients, whether in business or as private individuals, appreciate Martin’s calm and efficient handling of their affairs.

David Ho, Solicitor

Based in our London offices, David co-founded the firm in 1994 with Christine and is now responsible for the running of the Immigration and Nationality Division. In addition, David is also responsible for the Civil Litigation department and the training of the firm’s staff.  He also advises on Property and Company Law, Wills, and Probate matters.

David originally qualified as an architect and later retrained as a solicitor. Today he still maintains his Chartered Architect status but uses this knowledge and experience in a legal capacity particularly when dealing with property acquisitions, planning appeals and disputes. He is an accomplished litigator, offering realistic, straightforward, no-nonsense advice to his clients.

Sharing Christine's passion for human rights and challenging the boundaries of the law David has helped the company to become a force to be reckoned with in the field of public administrative law, human rights and immigration and nationality law and has worked on several high profile and leading cases in these fields.



Jane Ding

Jane is based in our Birmingham office. Aside from her post as Head of the Immigration Department Jane also oversees all administrative aspects of the Birmingham offices and is responsible for formulating and implementing the firm’s marketing strategy.

Having joined Christine Lee & Co in March 2000, Jane has proven to be a key performer, consistently contributing to the firm. She holds a Masters in Marketing Management and has assisted Christine in many of the companies various projects.

Jane is an experienced immigration consultant who has dealt with all kinds of immigration cases ranging from simple visa applications to complex work permit applications. More recently she has become well versed in the new Points Based System and has already achieved an enviable track record for assisting our clients in gaining entry clearance to the UK as Investors and Entrepreneurs under the Tier 1 category.

 

Jennifer Ho, Solicitor

Jennifer is one of the directors of Christine Lee & Co and currently works principally out of our Birmingham offices, concentrating on immigration matters and is responsible for formulation of risk management strategies both internally and for our commercial/corporate clients.

Jennifer graduated in Law and was qualified in 1994. Jennifer previously worked for a number of high profile firms before moving to take up a position with the Law Society. Her in-depth experience ensures that immigration matters are dealt with utmost professionalism and in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the Law society.
