Mikki Choi, who is originally from Hong Kong, visited her relatives in the UK along with her parents during the summer. Together they explored some of the globally renowned higher education institutions in the country.
Mikki had only previously read about the UK but, following her successful trip, she aspired to further her education in England. As Mikkii was already studying for her GCSEs at the time, we advised her not to delay her sixth form Registration in order to avoid the risk of her being placed on the waiting list.
During our involvement with Mikki, her tutor recognised that not only was she an active participant at school and in social events, but she was also artistically talented. We assisted her in developing her profile and preparing a portfolio, which she presented to the principal during her interview. With the support and help from our tutors, Mikki successfully passed her interview and entrance examinations and secured a place at Leighton Park School, a top independent school in Reading, to start her IB programme in 2014.
